With Alex Ovechkin leading the way with the Stanley Cup firmly in his grip, the Washington Capitals marched through the MGM Grand Hotel Thursday night on their way to celebrate the franchise’s first NHL title at Hakkasan nightclub. At Hakkasan, Ovechkin and his teammates partied until the wee hours with Lord Stanley’s Cup and Tiesto, Hakkasan’s resident DJ and friend of the Caps’ superstar. The Caps ended 44 years of frustration with a comeback win over the Vegas Golden Knights to win the Cup four games to one. The Cup also was carted through Aria. There were photos online showing the Caps allowing strangers to drink out of the legendary trophy.
