Washington Nationals star Bryce Harper threw out the first pitch Friday at the Coyote Border Battle, the area’s first junior college tournament of the year. About 30 scouts are in town to evaluate the talent among the seven teams hailing from Nevada, Arizona, Colorado and Utah. The games are being held at the College of Southern Nevada and other local fields. Harper played at CSN in 2010 as a 17-year-old before becoming the first overall pick in the 2010 Major League Baseball draft.
