MOLLY MARTIN GETS VIP SENDOFF TO PAGEANT

Molly Martin got a Las Vegas-style sendoff Wednesday for Miss USA Outstanding Teen pageant next week in Orlando, Fla.
The event was held in The Smith Center for the Performing Arts Center in the venue named after her father, Myron Martin, president and CEO of the cultural center.
Molly Martin, 16, performed for a crowd and did a brief mock questions session in front of more than 100 well wishers at Myron’s Cabaret Jazz.
“I think she’s got a shot,” said her proud father, who has been taking her to Broadway shows for years. “She’s definitely a Broadway kid. She’s seen ‘Waitress’ five times,” said Myron Martin, who was a judge for three Miss America pageants and nearly 20 Miss Texas pageants.
Molly’s mother, Dana, was on hand as well. She formerly competed for the Miss Texas title and was a performer in the long-running “Jubilee” show at Bally’s.
Mayor Carolyn Goodman attended with her husband, former Mayor Oscar Goodman, the former mob attorney who quipped to reporters, “If Molly doesn’t win I’ll have all the judges whacked.”
