MGM’S 'HUNGER GAMES' ATTRACTION SETS GUINNESS RECORD

The MGM Grand kicked off its red carpet grand opening for “The Hunger Games: The Exhibition” on Thursday and it already owned a world record.

A Guinness world record rep was on hand to announce the archery gallery features the largest interactive touch screen at 605 square feet. Visitors receive a bow and arrow and take aim at targets on the screen. Contact with the screen results in digital animated explosions.

President Snow’s red velvet throne was a popular photo stop.There are costumes galore from the hit three-film franchise starring Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen.

Red carpet walkers included Elden Henson, who played Pollux, the man-bunned mute who joined Everdeen and her squad in their mission to kill the villainous President Snow, played by Donald Sutherland.

Local celebrities on hand were Frank Marino, comic-magician Adam London (the D), the cast of “Friends! The Musical Parody” (the D)and “Marriage Can Be Murder,” (the D), along with executives from Lionsgate, Cityneon, Victory Hill Exhibitions and MGM Resorts.

Previous tour tops of the exhibition included New York, San Francisco, Louisville and Australia.

Tickets: Ages 4-11, $25; adults: ages, 12 plus, $35.
